Stories, read in your voice.

Bindlestory turns books into audiobooks in your own voice. Record a short sample, add any book, and the people you love hear you reading it: your pacing, your accent, your warmth. Or keep a book for yourself, read the way only you read it.

What it does

A reading companion, wrapped around your voice

01

Your real voice, set up in about a minute.

Record a short sample and read a consent phrase aloud. What comes back is your warmth, your pace, your accent, not a stranger's.

02

Any book becomes an audiobook.

Drop in a PDF, EPUB, DOCX, ODT or pasted text. We split it into chapters, read it in your voice, and deliver a finished audiobook to your library.

03

For the people you love, and for yourself.

A bedtime story for the nights you cannot be in the room. A chapter for a student who learns by listening. A passage you return to, read calmly, the same way every night.

How it works

From your voice to their ears in three steps.

  1. 01

    Set up your voice.

About a minute in a quiet corner: a short sample, then a consent phrase read aloud. That is the whole voice setup.

  2. 02

    Drop in any book.

PDF, EPUB, DOCX, ODT or pasted text. We split it into chapters, tidy the formatting, and narrate it in any of 23 languages, picked up from the text itself.

  3. 03

    Press play, anywhere.

A finished audiobook lands in your library. Stream it, download it to listen offline, or share it with friends inside the app.

Who it is for

For the nights you cannot be in the room, and the ones you can.

The parent who misses bedtime.

Late shifts, other time zones, one more hour at the desk. The story happens anyway, in your voice.

The grandparent in another city.

Too far away for most bedtimes. Near enough to be the voice that reads the next chapter, on whatever night suits you both.

The teacher, the tutor, the homeschooling parent.

A backlog of texts that need to be heard, not just read: an assigned chapter, a passage in a second language, a book for a reader who listens better than they read. Upload it, and it is ready in the voice your student trusts.

The listener who wants one calm voice.

A practice you wrote, a passage you return to, a book you want read slowly. Your own voice keeps your own tone, the same every night, with a sleep timer and nothing that wakes you up.

Written for the person who sets it up, and set up so that the person who listens can follow it alone, on their own phone.

Voice safety

A voice can only be your own.

Bindlestory can only make a voice from the person holding the phone. To set up a voice you record a short sample and then read a consent phrase aloud; the app transcribes the consent and compares it with the sample, so a voice can only be created from your own recording. Making a voice of anyone else, including a child, is prohibited by the Terms and blocked by the setup.

The app

Quiet by design, built for the moments that matter.

A library you can play with one tap, a player made for the dark, and a voice status that tells you when you are ready. Soft surfaces, one gold accent, no notification spam.

FAQ

The small questions people ask first.

Whose voice can Bindlestory make?
Only your own. To set up a voice you record a short sample and read a consent phrase aloud; the app compares the two, so a voice can only be created from your own recording. A voice of anyone else, including a child, is prohibited and blocked by the setup.
How long is voice setup?
About a minute. You record a short sample, read a consent phrase aloud, and your voice is ready for the next book.
What books work?
PDF, EPUB, DOCX, ODT and pasted plain text. We detect chapters and skip front matter, and the narration language is picked up from the text, 23 of them. Books with heavy imagery are fine; we read the prose.
Is it iPhone only?
Bindlestory is on iPhone today. There is no Android app yet. The app itself speaks English, Turkish, Spanish, French and Russian.
What does it cost?
You start free with welcome credits, a bonus on your first audiobook, and another bonus when you finish your first voice demo. After that there are two plans, Simple and Premium, plus credit packs if you would rather buy once. Apple shows you the price in your own currency before anything is charged.
Can my family listen?
Yes. A family lives inside one Premium account: up to five adults you invite by email, and up to five kid profiles. Kid profiles are PIN-protected and listen-only. Apple Family Sharing is not used.
